Cartel Chat Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Graphics Cartel processes information when you use the Cartel Chat mobile application and related services.

Information you provide

We process information you provide when using Cartel Chat, including your email address, username, display name, profile information, messages, comments, uploaded photos, videos, audio and files, marketplace information, credit and transaction records, reports, and communications with support.

Device and service information

We may process push-notification tokens, app version, device platform, security and diagnostic events, feature usage needed to operate the service, and an approximate country derived from an internet address. Cartel Chat does not request your precise location or contacts.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, deliver chats and notifications, host user content, operate marketplace and credit features, prevent abuse and fraud, review safety reports, moderate content, provide support, maintain service security, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Service providers

Cartel Chat uses service providers such as Supabase for authentication, databases, server functions, and file storage. Google, Firebase, Expo, or related services may support Android notifications and app delivery. These providers process information according to their applicable terms and privacy policies.

Information visible to other users

Your public profile information, public posts, reactions, comments, and marketplace listings may be visible to other users. Private messages and restricted content are intended only for authorized users, subject to moderation, security operations, and lawful access where required.

Safety, reports, and moderation

When a user submits a safety report, we may preserve relevant report details and content evidence so administrators can investigate the issue, prevent abuse, enforce our rules, and comply with law. Reports are not displayed publicly.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and satisfy applicable legal requirements. Users may request account deletion inside the app or through the public Account Deletion page. Limited transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, or safety records may be retained when reasonably required by law or legitimate security needs.

Security

We use access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should never share passwords, recovery codes, or unnecessary sensitive information in chats.

Children

Cartel Chat is intended only for users aged 18 and older. Contact us immediately if you believe a minor has created an account or that content may involve child exploitation or endangerment.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date displayed above identifies the current version.
